Despite the attempt to fool others into believing the player was the Nevarine, it turns out they actually are the prophesied one. The Nevarine was believed to be the reincarnation of Indoril Nevarar, who served as Azura's Champion during the First Era. Their numbers have significantly dwindled over their years, with their temples raided and their members slaughtered by the Thalmor during the Great War. Devoting their lives and service to the protection of the Dragonborn, they act as advisors and guides for these rare heroes. The Blades of The Elder Scrolls franchise have existed since the Second Era, when they formed around the emergence of the First Empire.
